Hier stelle ich euch meine Wahlheimat Düsseldorf vor. Vor knapp sieben Jahren habe ich den Entschluss gefasst, nach Düsseldorf zu ziehen und bis heute nicht bereut. Weder neuer Job noch neue Liebe waren die Gründe. Nach über 15 Jahren Kleinstadt musste ich wieder in eine Großstadt und Düsseldorf hat mir schon immer gefallen. Allerdings kannte ich zu diesem Zeitpunkt nur die Altstadt und das Eisstadion an der Brehmstrasse. Aber ich war mir sicher, dass Düsseldorf noch mehr zu bieten hat. Also nahm ich das Angebot einer ehemaligen Arbeitskollegin an, sie für ein Wochenende zu besuchen. Schon als ich aus dem Zug ausstieg hatte ich das Gefühl - DAS IST MEINE STADT.

Adopted town Düsseldorf
Here I present to you my adopted home Dusseldorf. Almost seven years ago, I made the decision to move to Dusseldorf and have not regretted until today. Neither new job nor new love were the reasons. After more than 15 years in the small town I had to go back to a big city and I always liked Dusseldorf. However, I knew at this time only the old town and the ice rink on the Brehmstrasse. But I was sure that Düsseldorf has more to offer. So I accepted an offer from a former colleague to visit her for a weekend. Even as I got off the train I had the feeling - THIS IS MY CITY.
