Time travel in the Middle Ages
Endlich war es wieder soweit. MPS ( Mittelalterlich Phantasie Spectaculum) im Fredenbaumpark in Dortmund. Es gibt viele unterschiedliche Meinungen zu dieser Veranstaltung. Vielen Mittelalterfans ist sie nicht authentisch genug, aber das ist auch nicht der Anspruch des MPS. Schließlich steht das P für Phantasie. Ich persönlich mag die Phantasiegestalten, die als Walking Acts das Gelände unsicher machen ebenso wie die phantasievollen Gewandungen mancher Besucher. Mit durchschnittlich 30€ Eintritt an den Samstagen liegt das MPS natürlich auch ganz weit vorne, was die Höhe des Eintrittpreises betrifft. Aber für das, was einem geboten wird, ist der Preis völlig gerechtfertigt. Allein die Konzerte diverser Mittelalterbands würden einzeln wesentlich mehr kosten. Ich habe schon einige unterschiedliche Veranstaltungsorte des MPS besucht und der Dortmunder Fredenbaumpark gehört für mich zu den schönsten Locations. Folgt mir einfach auf eine Reise durch die Zeit.
Finally it was time again. MPS (Medieval Fantasy Spectaculum) in the Fredenbaumpark in Dortmund. There are many different opinions about this event. For many medieval fans, it is not authentic enough, but that's not the claim of the MPS. Finally, the P stands for imagination (Phantasie). Personally, I like the fanciful creatures that make the terrain unsafe as walking acts, as well as the imaginative garments of some visitors. With an average of 30 € on Saturdays, the MPS course is also very far ahead in terms of the height of the entrance fee. But for what is offered, the price is fully justified. The concerts of various medieval bands alone would cost considerably more. I have already visited several different venues of the MPS and the Dortmund Fredenbaumpark is one of the most beautiful locations for me. Just follow me on a journey through time.
