Carnival parade Gerlingen

Karneval, Fasnacht, Fasching, 5. Jahreszeit - egal wie ihr es nennt, ich liebe das närrische Treiben.

Letztes Wochenende war ich bei einem guten Freund in Gerlingen bei Stuttgart zu Besuch. Für mich völlig überraschend war dort Sonntag bereits der Faschingsumzug. Daher auch eine Premiere - unverkleidet beim Karneval. Aber was soll`s.

Vor einigen Jahren habe ich einige Zeit in der Nähe von Freiburg gelebt und dort die Alemannische Fasnet kennen und lieben gelernt. Und genau das erwartete mich jetzt wieder. Hexen und ähnliches mit tollen Masken, die ihre Späße trieben, statt der politischen Rosenmontagszüge im Rheinland. Die Vorfreude war groß und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht.

Carnival, 5th season - no matter what you call it, I love the foolish bustle.

Last weekend I was visiting a good friend in Gerlingen near Stuttgart. For me, the carnival parade was already quite surprising on Sunday. Therefore, a premiere - undressed at the carnival. But what's the point?

Some years ago I lived for a while near Freiburg and got to know and love the Alemannic Fasnet there. And that's what awaited me again. Witches and the like with great masks that made their jokes, instead of the political Rosenmontagszüge in the Rhineland. The anticipation was great and I was not disappointed.
